Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, also known as mHBOT, is a non-invasive wellness therapy where you relax inside a gently pressurized chamber while breathing oxygen-enriched air.
The combination of mild pressure and supplemental oxygen is designed to help increase oxygen availability throughout the body. At Release, we offer Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, which uses lower pressure than traditional hospital-based hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Our service is designed for wellness, recovery, and relaxation support — not as a replacement for hospital-based medical HBOT.
Under normal conditions, oxygen is mostly carried through the body by red blood cells. In a pressurized environment, more oxygen can dissolve into the body’s fluids, including plasma. This may help oxygen reach tissues more efficiently.
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been studied for its role in oxygen delivery, tissue repair, circulation, inflammation response, and recovery support. Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy uses the same general principle of pressure-supported oxygen delivery, but at lower pressures than traditional medical HBOT.
Medical-grade HBOT is typically delivered in a hospital or medical setting using higher pressure and, in many cases, 100% medical-grade oxygen. It is used under physician supervision for specific medical indications such as decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, certain non-healing wounds, radiation injury, and other serious conditions.
Mild HBOT is different. It generally uses lower pressure and is commonly offered in wellness settings to support oxygenation, recovery, relaxation, and overall wellness. At Release, our Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy service is wellness-focused and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Many guests explore Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as part of a wellness routine focused on recovery, oxygenation, relaxation, energy, sleep support, inflammation support, and overall resilience.
Because increased oxygen availability is central to the hyperbaric experience, many people use mHBOT as a supportive recovery tool. Individual experiences vary, and mHBOT should not be viewed as a treatment for any medical condition.
Most guests describe the experience as calm, quiet, and relaxing. You will sit or lie inside the chamber while it gradually pressurizes.
During pressurization and depressurization, you may feel fullness or popping in your ears, similar to what you might feel during takeoff or landing on an airplane. This is a normal pressure-related sensation, and our team will guide you on how to equalize your ears and stay comfortable during the session
A typical Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy session lasts approximately 60 minutes. Your first visit may include additional time for orientation, safety screening, and getting comfortable with the chamber.
During the session, many guests choose to rest, meditate, listen to calming audio, or simply relax.
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is best viewed as a cumulative wellness practice rather than a one-time quick fix. Many guests start with 1–3 sessions per week, depending on their goals, schedule, and how their body responds.
Consistency usually matters more than intensity. The right frequency may vary based on your wellness goals, comfort level, and overall recovery routine.
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is generally well tolerated when used appropriately and with proper screening. The most common temporary sensation is ear or sinus pressure caused by changes in air pressure.
As with any pressurized oxygen environment, safety matters. Our team follows device-specific safety guidance, screens guests before use, and provides instructions before each session. Guests should not use mHBOT if they have a contraindication or have been advised against hyperbaric therapy by a healthcare provider.
You should check with your physician before using Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy if you are pregnant, have untreated pneumothorax, significant lung disease, severe sinus congestion, recent ear or sinus surgery, seizure disorder, uncontrolled fever, certain chemotherapy medications, implanted medical devices, or any serious or unstable medical condition.
If you are under active medical care or have a complex health history, we recommend medical clearance before starting.
Release offers Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as a wellness and recovery service. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
Traditional medical HBOT has recognized uses for specific physician-managed conditions, including decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, certain wounds, radiation injury, and other approved indications. Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in a wellness setting is different and should not be used as a substitute for medical care.
Important Note
Release offers Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy as a wellness and recovery service. Individual experiences vary. Guests with medical conditions, pregnancy, recent surgery, ear or sinus concerns, lung conditions, implanted devices, or complex health histories should consult their healthcare provider before use.
One session may feel restorative. But the deeper value comes from building consistent recovery rituals your body can rely on.
Tell us how you want to feel and we’ll help guide the right first experience.
